Electric accessories are the cables and leads that connect office power modules to the wall and to each other. This range covers CMD starter and connector cables, Sourcetec starter power cables, Metalicon three pole connector leads and mains leads from one to five metres, and Volta connecting chain and mains cables from Dynamic Office Solutions. HDMI, USB and Cat 6 data cables from CMD sit alongside, with a power module for Design soft seating.
How to choose cables and leads
Work from the wall socket outwards.
- A starter or mains lead runs from a UK plug to the first power unit, so measure that distance and choose the length to suit.
- Connector leads link one module to the next, and the three pole male to female connectors must match the units they join.
- Pick leads from the same system as your power modules so the connectors match.
- For meeting tables, add HDMI, USB or Cat 6 data cables so screens and laptops can connect through the same module.
For fit-outs, installers and home offices
Installers and facilities teams wiring a bank of desks will need a starter lead per run and a connector lead per module, and we can price the whole schedule. Designers specifying Volta pop-up modules on boardroom tables can add the matching mains and chain cables here. Home workers usually just need a longer mains lead for a desktop unit, ordered online with VAT inclusive and ex VAT prices shown.
